My employees have paid time off available. Do they have to take this time?

It depends on your corporate policies. When filing for benefits, this paid time off could be factored into their eligibility. States do not require employees to use all available PTO time (vacation, sick time, severance, etc.) before being eligible for benefits.

The employees who do take advantage of PTO will need to report those wages to the state when they file.
