My employee just certified for a week of part-time work and the state says they are disqualified. I thought they could work part-time and collect unemployment.

Weekly qualification is dependent partially on wages received. If the employee earned more than their weekly benefit amount, then they are not eligible for benefits for that week. This does not mean that they can’t collect in the future.
